Meet the Muses: A Little Gallery of Meta Muse Avatars (and Prompts to Make Your Own)

Say hello to Jolly. That’s the name Meta gave Muse’s default avatar — cream-colored, beady black eyes, a permanent upward smile — and, per Mark Zuckerberg, it’s “jolly and completely customizable.” That last part is the fun bit: since Muse added avatar customization (name, look, voice, even accent and speaking pace), people have been turning their assistant into a little character with its own personality. This page has nothing to do with making money — it’s just a warm corner of the site for that.

People are actually naming these things

A few real examples that surfaced once customization rolled out: one user built a custom Muse avatar and called it “Zuck.” Another named theirs “Moneypenny.” Someone else went with “Veda” — a Sanskrit name evoking wisdom. Meta’s own chief AI officer got in on it too, posting memes dropping Muse into famous movie and historical moments, and plenty of people followed suit with their own screenshots. It’s a small thing, but there’s something genuinely nice about it — people don’t usually bother naming a piece of software, and here they are giving their AI agent a face and a personality anyway.

Copy-paste prompts to design your own

If you want to give your Muse a face and a personality instead of leaving it as default Jolly, here are a few starting points — paste one in, then keep iterating in plain language until it feels like yours:

A character avatar

Give yourself an avatar: a small, friendly [animal/creature] with [color] fur/skin,
[a distinctive feature — round glasses, a tiny hat, a scarf]. Warm and a little
mischievous, not corporate. Suggest a name that fits the personality.

A mood-board avatar

Design an avatar for yourself based on this vibe: [cozy library at night / a
lighthouse keeper / a plant that's slightly too enthusiastic]. Pick a color
palette and a simple visual style, then explain why you chose it.

A “just be honest” avatar

Based on how you've actually been helping me this week, what do you think you'd
look like? Design an avatar that matches your own personality as you've shown it,
not a generic assistant look — and pick your own name.

That last one tends to produce the most personal results, since it’s grounded in your actual conversation history instead of a generic prompt.

Where people are sharing theirs

We’re not building a duplicate upload gallery here — a community one already exists and does this well: Muse Avatars is an independent, community-run avatar wall where people submit their Muse’s look, browse by “Most loved,” “Trending,” or “Newest,” and there’s a running “Beauty Contest.” It’s not run by us or by Meta — just a genuinely nice little corner of the internet that already does exactly what you’d want.
